Covering 6pm to 8am with your own team means paying a premium for tired engineers, or paying an on-call retainer for a phone that mostly doesn't ring. From India, those hours fall inside normal business hours — so you get a staffed desk, not a rota nobody wants.

The maths that makes this
cheaper
than your own rate
India sits eight to eleven hours ahead of North America. The hours that cost you a night-shift premium are ordinary daytime hours for the engineer answering the call — so you're not buying anyone's sleep, and the person on the other end is alert.

The bulk of your overnight window lands on a standard Indian day shift. The remaining slice is covered by a genuine evening shift with its own staffing, not by the same person stretching.
What the shift actually does
More than answering the phone
Servers and endpoints..
Availability, CPU and memory pressure, disk thresholds, service states, event-log signatures and agent health across Windows, Linux and macOS.
Full L1 and L2 resolution
Password and MFA resets, mailbox and Teams issues, VPN and connectivity, printing, endpoint faults, application errors — closed overnight, not queued.
Incident triage and escalation
Severity assessed against your matrix. Genuine emergencies reach your on-call engineer with the diagnostics already gathered and the timeline written up.
Overnight maintenance windows
Reboots, updates, migration cutovers and change windows executed and verified while users are offline — the work that never fits into a business day.
Queue preparation for the morning
Overnight tickets triaged, categorised and enriched, so your day team opens a sorted board instead of a pile of unread email.
Named, consistent engineers
The same small pod every night. They learn your clients, your quirks and your documentation instead of starting cold on every shift.
A handover, every morning
The failure mode of outsourced night cover is that the day team has no idea what happened. We close the loop with a written handover before your first engineer logs in.
6:00 PM
Shift opens on a live handover
Fifteen minutes overlapping your day team — open tickets walked through, anything fragile flagged, change windows confirmed.
6 PM – 6 AM
Calls, tickets and maintenance
Work resolved in your PSA under your SLA clock. Escalations raised in real time to your on-call, not held until morning.
6:00 AM
Queue groomed for the day
Everything opened overnight is categorised, prioritised and assigned to the right board, with duplicates merged.
7:45 AM
Written handover delivered

Questions we get asked first
Will end users notice they're speaking to India?
They'll notice they're speaking to someone who picks up and knows their environment. Our engineers are neutral-accent, trained on your call flow, and introduce themselves under your company name. We'll put you on a live call before you sign anything.
What if the volume is very low?
That's the common case, and it's why the economics work. A shared pod covers several MSPs with dedicated named engineers per account, so you're not funding a full seat to answer four calls a night.
Can you cover only part of the week?
Yes. Some clients take the full 6pm–8am weeknight window, others take 6pm–midnight only, or particular nights. The window is defined in the agreement and reported against.
Do you hold our on-call engineer's number?
Yes, under an escalation matrix you write. We're the filter in front of it — the whole point is that your engineer is woken for a genuine incident and nothing else.
